TC Publisher ID for Java Desktop
With TC Publisher ID for Java Desktop software developers can digitally sign their applications to protect them during internet download and allow for a secure installation process.
Digital IDs are virtual "shrinkwrap" for your software.
If your code is tampered with in any way after it is signed, the digital signature will break and alert customers that the code is not trustworthy. A timestamp option shows when the Java Desktop application was signed, allowing customers to verify that the code signing certificate was valid at the time of the digital signature.
When installing the signed Java applications the holder of the TC Publisher ID for Java Desktop will be displayed as trusted software publisher.
